Paraffin Wax 56/58 has both fully refined and semi-refined industrial series and food-grade series. The melting point of No. 56 is from 56 ℃ to 58 ℃, and No. 58 is from 58 ℃ to 60 ℃.

 

Paraffin wax (or petroleum wax) is a soft colorless solid, derived from oil, coal, or oil shale, and composed of hydrocarbon molecular mixtures containing 20 to 40 carbon atoms.

 

According to the degree of refining (mainly including deoiling, impurity, and moisture removal), it can be divided into fully refined paraffin, semi-refined paraffin, and slack paraffin. Slack paraffin has high oil content and is mainly used for making matches, fiberboard, canvas, etc. Fully refined paraffin wax and semi-refined paraffin wax are primarily used as components and packaging materials for food, oral medicine, and some commodities (such as vinegar paper, crayons, candles, carbon paper), coating materials for baking containers, fruit preservation, electrical component insulation, improving aging resistance and flexibility of rubber, etc. It can also be applied for oxidation to produce synthetic fatty acids.

 

Due to the safety level of paraffin wax, it can be separated into industrial paraffin wax and food-grade paraffin wax (non-toxic). Industrial paraffin wax is not edible, and food-grade paraffin wax can be applied as food additives, food packaging, etc.

Paraffin Wax 58/60 is mainly used in high-frequency porcelain, carbon paper, crayon wax paper, precision casting, decorative sound-absorbing boards, and other products. It is also used in packaging, electronics, textiles, candles, crayons and match manufacturing, and other industries. In addition, it is also used to manufacture high-grade candles and used as raw materials for various industrial and civil wax products, additives, modifiers, etc.

 

 

The application of food-grade Paraffin Wax 56/58 is as follows:

 

Food paraffin 56/58 is applicable to the wax used for the demoulding, tablet pressing, polishing, and other direct contact of food and drug components, as well as the added components of food. It can also be used as the protective layer of vegetables and fruits to increase the gloss and extend the shelf life, the defoamer of food, and the gum base of chewing gum and bubble gum.

 

In terms of packaging application, food-grade paraffin is applicable to food and drug packaging (such as drug bottle moisture-proof sealing, and wine bottle sealing), containers in contact with food, wax for impregnation of packaging materials (such as hamburger paper, and sugar paper), and wax for drug sealing and coating.
